[Moxie Minute] Are you solving the wrong business problem?

I think one of the biggest mistakes established coaches and consultants make is assuming every problem is a strategy problem.

→ Sales dip? "I need a new marketing strategy."
→ Projects fall behind? "I need a new project management tool."
→ Team members keep making mistakes? "I probably hired the wrong person."

Sometimes that's true.

But more often? The strategy isn't actually the problem. The execution is.

I've worked with enough expert coaches and consultants to notice a pattern:

→ The marketing strategy is solid... but there's no clear and repeatable process for following up with warm leads.
→ The team member is capable... but they're working from assumptions instead of clear direction and documented processes.
→ The founder keeps changing direction... not because they have a bad offer, but because they never gave the business enough structure to predictably and consistently sell that offer.

From the outside, it looks like the strategy failed.

But behind the scenes, it's usually an operational problem.

One question I'd encourage you to ask yourself before you pivot:

"Is this actually a strategy problem... or do I have a process problem that's making a good strategy look broken?"

As promised, value in under a minute.

A bigger business shouldn't require a smaller life. Here are five ways to make sure it doesn't: 1️⃣ Increase your prices. Let's not overcomplicate this. You're probably undercharging. Up those prices... like, yesterday. 2️⃣ Ruthlessly edit what you allow on your calendar. One of the biggest challenges I see with the coaches and consultants I work with is their calendars are Bloated with a capital B. They say "yes" too quickly and "no" too infrequently. Learn the art of a quick and decisive no....

Hi Friend! 👋 I just dropped a new private podcast that I think you're gonna love. It's called The Gap. It's for coaches and consultants who've built a successful business, scaled past six-figures, but who feel like their business slowly started demanding more of them than they ever expected it would. Over this 6-part audio series, we explore why that happens and what it actually takes to build a business that supports your life instead of constantly competing with it. 🎧 Listen here. Amy...

As a coach or consultant serving premium clients, here's why that matters to you... Your prospects are scoping you out long before you know they exist.
